Berliner Glas GmbH in Schwäbisch Hall and system elektronik GmbH, Braunschweig cooperate: Corporate development and production of HMI assemblies.

The two companies Berliner Glas and system elektronik agreed to develop, produce and offer together and exclusively innovative HMI solutions.

Both companies bring their capacious knowledge in the field of glass work, joining technology as well as display- and touch-screen technology into this cooperation. Furthermore, a completely new production in “clean room procedure” will be created, which is aimed to optical bonding of cover glass or touch screens.

Using newest touch screen technologies in combination with optical bonding means that now also for investment goods visualization- and user technology can be used, which before has only been known for consumer goods. This includes multi touch and recognition of gestures as well as daylight readability. In the medical environment front panels made of glass secure the necessary hygiene factor. For the rough industrial segment better robustness and readability without higher energy consumption are the important facts.

In a first statement after having signed the agreement Alexander Hildebrandt, founder and Managing Director,of system elektronik and Dietrich Busch, Managing Director of Berliner Glas, Schwäbisch Hall:

"We have both found the ideal partner for this project. Here, know-how, a first-class network of suppliers and a production facility with excellent conditions for outstanding quality come together. This is the first step to offer a technically and optically perfect HMI assembly group to our customers from one source. Already now we are in negotiations for projects that go far beyond this decade.

Initially, diagonals from 4.3” to maximum 32” for industrial automation, medical engineering, automotive and POS/POI shall be offered, but Berliner Glas sees also chances to achieve advantages in competition for Premium TV with optical bonding.
